Hello summer! One of the things I love about summer are all the fruits in season. What do you have planned for all the goodness upon us? We are definitely making a peach cobbler and mango salsa. Our jalapeño plant in the backyard is full of jalapeños so I’m trying to use some of those up this week, too.
And I might harvest my two little bundles of zinfandel grapes to make a grape jelly or simple syrup. Perhaps mix them with other organic grapes so it isn’t as potent. I’m looking for recipes. And then maybe cherry pie???
Okay so I’ve also decided to start adding a printable shopping list as a PDF file to go with the menu each week. You can find it at the bottom of the weekly menu plan. We usually buy non-GMO or organic produce and to avoid residual glyphosate (not the GMO technology itself), especially in sugar and soy. If you eat wheat, I would eat organic as well because they also spray wheat with glyphosate before harvesting. Yikes!
And to keep things free from casein, I will usually substitute in ghee if a recipe calls for butter. And use coconut or almond milk instead of cow’s milk.

Sunday – Franks & Baked Beans with Homemade Cornbread (using half this Jamie Oliver recipe and adjusted to be casein free)
