The Gluten Free Weekly Menu Oct. 12 #menuplanning
Hi everyone! Hope you had a wonderful week! We’ve been having a great staycation while the hubs has a break from work and I’m gearing up to go back to school (online school that is #genomics #bioinformatics)… I’m just so excited! The Horns beat OU!!! Yay. Plus we have a fun weekend planned – Oddball Comedy Tour to see Aziz Ansari, Amy Schumer + more!!! Fun.
So can you identify the dish in the picture above? It’s my version of an Iranian dish (my favorite Iranian dish no doubt) called Ghormeh Sabzi or Persian Herb Stew. It’s a labor of love because I wash and prep all the veg and herbs myself – but it is definitely worth it!
And since I have some time and it’s fall – why not! I love the way the fenugreek makes the house smell and turmeric is such a healthy spice. It brings back so many memories growing up eating Persian food, especially when my grandmother would visit and cook for us. And it’s such a wonderfully healthy dish, too.

If you’ve ever wondered what to do with a veggie this cookbook is for you and you’ll be able to buy it here soon. Since I received an early copy of this cookbook, I’ve been inspired to try new vegetables. So we are going to start perusing farmer’s markets to find some local new veggies to try. Also, look for some fun new recipe blog posts and prep ideas from all of the amazing bloggers coming soon.

Tuesday – Spicy Chicken Red Sauce & Penne Pasta
Thursday – Asian Chicken Salad
Friday – Turkey & Veggie Chili
Saturday – Odd Ball Comedy Tour & Dinner Out
Sunday – Seven Layer Dip + Homemade Tortilla Chips (cheese for my husband but none for me); Sweet Potato Casserole Muffins (working on new recipe)
