The Gluten-Free Weekly Menu March 2

March already? Time flies by when you are having fun! I’ve been working on converting the eCookbooks (which are a series of our gluten-free menus transitioning from the early days of comfort food like cheesy pepperoni pizza and fried chicken to healthier gluten-free and casein-free dishes) into various digital formats to sell through more book stores and hopefully make available to libraries. The nice thing about these cookbooks is that there are gluten-free options for everyone depending on where you are in your food journey.

I’m still working on the The Weekly Menu III, which will be a collection of our favorite real food, healthy and tasty menus that are entirely gluten and casein-free. The Weekly Menu eCookbook is an actual cookbook version (not menus) of gluten and casein-free dishes organized by apps, soups and stews, salads, mains, baked goodies and kitchen staples.

One day I hope to create a print version but I’m still developing and perfecting lots of recipes. And my pictures have come a long way thanks to all the inspiration on Instagram.

Anyway, I’m learning how to a format them with Publishing E-Books for Dummies. It’s all a learning process for me. Uploading the word file to Amazon was pretty easy and making the iBooks version was really fun because the graphics are amazing.  Now I’m going to convert the books to MOBI and ePUB files… Stay tuned!

Hope you’ve tried some of the recipes and enjoyed them! I try to keep everything pretty simple and full of flavor. Here is the casein-free, gluten-free weekly menu for March 2:

Deana Larkin Evans

Hi! I’m Deana. This food blog is all about cooking wholesome real food and developing gluten free recipes for some of our favorite comfort foods. I also create weekly menus to save time and money while reducing stress and food waste. I had to start eating gluten-free in 2010 and dairy/casein-free (except for the occasional Parmesan or goat cheese) in 2014. I’m kind of a science nerd, too. In the ’90s, I earned an undergrad degree in biochemistry from The University of Texas at Austin. Hook ’em! Then followed up with a PhD in biochemistry and a law degree from the University of Houston. I recently earned a certificate in genomics/sequence analysis from Johns Hopkins University, where I also took a very cool food microbiology course.
